John Michael Hahesy, 75, of Ely, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Thursday, Sept. 3, 2015, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha. Celebration of Life services for John will be 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 7, at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling St. SW. Burial will be in Rogers Grove Cemetery near Ely. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 6, at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids. A full obituary will be in Sunday's Gazette.
