John Edgerton, 87, of Solon, died on Saturday, November 1, 2025, in his home.
John was born on November 5, 1938, in Woodburn, Iowa, the son of Harold and Carrie (Sterns) Edgerton. John was a very sociable person, he loved telling stories, but his favorite stories he told were from his days playing cowboy with the Desperado’s. Over the years John worked as a diesel mechanic at Wendling Quarries, and Terex. In addition to diesel engines, John enjoyed riding and fixing up motorcycles, playing games, listening to music, dancing and trying new restaurants.
John is survived by his son A. Ross (Chris) Edgerton; daughter Evelyn “Lou” (Scott) Wolfe; grandchildren Jesse Husmann, Spencer Wolfe, Amanda (Tyler) Richardson, and Amber (Josh) Frahm; great-grandchildren Eliza, Emma, Titus, Gunner, Rosalyn, Jack, Wyatt, Bowen, Bastian, Thorin, and Sylvia; his sister Sandra Swarthout; and many nieces, nephews, and Cousins.
He is preceded in death by his parents Harold and Carrie Edgerton, and his brother Charles Edgerton.

Friends may visit with the Family at a Celebration of Life held at Lake McBride Golf Course (lower level) located at 3891 Pro Road NE in Solon on Monday, November 10 between 2:00-5:00 pm. Brosh Chapel and the Avacentre are assisting the family at this time.
