John Douglas "Doug" Mercil passed away peacefully on Thursday, Jan. 14, 2016, at the age of 79, after a courageous fight with cancer. Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 18, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Marion. Mass: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 19, at St Joseph's Catholic Church, Marion. Cremation and burial will follow at a later date.
