JOHN F. DOLAN III

John F. Dolan III, 62, of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, Feb. 26, 2015. Mass will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 10, at St. Matthew's Church. Celebration of Life will be from noon to 4 p.m. Tuesday at Knights of Columbus in Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include his brothers, Kevin Dolan of Cedar Rapids, Tiernan Dolan of Cedar Rapids and Quinn Dolan of San Fransisco; and sisters, Colleen Buddy of Grand Rapids, Mich., and Mercedes Dolan of Aurora, Colo.
He was preceded in death by his father, John F. Dolan Jr., and his mother, Mercedes Dolan.
John was born July 6 1952, to John and Mercedes Dolan. He was a 1970 graduate of Regis High School in Cedar Rapids and later attended the University of Iowa.
John retired from Square D after 37 years. He was an avid golfer with many friendly playing partners and competitors, a rock 'n' roll enthusiast, an usher at St. Matthew's Church and a devoted son, brother and uncle to his extended family.
Any bequests may be sent to St. Matthew's Church.
