JOHN JAMES BERNDSEN

John James Berndsen, 83, of Hot Springs, Ark., a loving husband and father, passed away Friday, July 29, 2016, to be with his God in his heavenly home. He had completed his work here on earth. His parents, Joseph and Luetta May Berndsen, along with Jenny and Mary Jane Berndsen, were there to meet him.
John loved his work in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, belonging to Sheet Metal Union 263. He also held plumbing and electrical licenses. On return to Hot Springs, John and his wife, Jacqueline Smith Banes Berndsen, did work for the needy by repairing their homes for them. He faithfully attended St. Mary of the Springs Catholic Church.
His memories will be cherished by his wife, Jacqueline Berndsen; Catherine Swenson and James, Thomas and Carol Berndsen; and his stepchildren, Carolyn, Robert and Rob Banes. He will be greatly missed by his "girls," - fur children, Roxie, Susie and Honeybear.
At his request, his earthly body will be cremated and no formal service will be held.
