John Allen Pippert
Dysart
John Allen Pippert was born on the family farm, where he lived his entire life, in Dysart, on June 24, 1951, the son of Walter and Cinderella (Sell) Pippert.
John married Donna Hutson on July 27, 1969, to which they had three children. Later, he married Tina Papadakes on June 24, 1999, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua; she preceded him in death on June 6, 2014.
John farmed his family farm, owned his own trucking company and was a Tama County Reserve Deputy. He enjoyed attending the races in Vinton and Amish auctions. John especially loved spending time with his grandchildren and was very proud of them. He collected John Deere tractors and liked going to Meskwaki Casino. John had a great sense of humor and a one-of-a-kind personality. Most importantly, he took pride in a hard day’s work.
John passed away on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at UnityPointHealth Allen Memorial, at the age of 74. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Tina and two brothers, Marv and Loren Pippert. John is survived by his son, Brian Pippert of Dysart; two daughters, Melissa (Chris) Potter of Dysart and Amanda (Andy) Hoyer of Cedar Falls; four grandchildren, Jade (Lauren), Madison, Molly and Alex Potter; three brothers, Ray (Dorothy), Paul and Steve (Karen) Pippert all of Dysart; and a sister, Joyce (Louie) Lyons of Sun City, Arizona.
