Joey Lee Neuenkirk, 43, of Wellman, formerly of Shellsburg, passed away early Wednesday morning, May 4, 2022. A funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, May 13, at Peterseim Funeral Home in Kalona. The family will greet friends from 4 p.m. until the time of the service. A memorial fund has been established for his children.
Joe was born April 17, 1979, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Earl and Diana (Draper) Neuenkirk.
He is survived by his six children, who he loved more than anything in this world: Mackenna, Bella, Paisley, Logan, Kaitlyn and Madison. Joe is also survived by his father, Earl; brothers, Jamie and Tommy; and fiancee, Stephanie Thompson.
Preceding Joe in death was his mother, Diana; paternal grandparents, Dorothy and Virgil Neuenkirk; and maternal grandparents, George and Jackie Robinson.
