Joe Williams, 66, of Cedar Rapids, died on Saturday, Oct. 17, 2015, at St. Luke's Hospital. Visitation will be held on Friday, Oct. 23, from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Services will be held on Saturday, Oct. 24, at 11 a.m. at Living Waters Kingdom Church in Cedar Rapids. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Joe Williams was born on April 23, 1949, to Nathan Williams and Nannie Sue Pledge in Humboldt, Tenn. He worked at E & F Paving of Cedar Rapids for 40 years. Joe enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his children, Linnie (Brittney) Weems of Cedar Rapids, Marco (Andrea) Garcia of Bevier, Mo., Martha (Miguel) Hernandez of Fort Riley, Kan., Joe (Kami) Garcia of Marion, Zayda (Marques) Maryland of Cedar Rapids, Lonnie Weems of Wisconsin, Trina Sturgeon of Cedar Rapids, Cordney (Billie) Davis of Walford, Montez (Micaela) Davis of Cedar Rapids, Cortez (Mellany) Davis of Walford and Rhasian Foote of Cedar Rapids; three sisters, five brothers; his significant other, Sandra Davis of Cedar Rapids; 42 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Willie Williams.
A memorial fund has been established through Zayda Maryland at Alliant Credit Union.
