Jodi Porter, 46, of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, April 17, 2014, at the Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha after a long illness. A Memorial Gathering will be Saturday, April 19, from 9 to 10 a.m. at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. A graveside service will follow at 10:30 a.m. at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery in the Cha-pel Garden section.
Jodi is survived by her children, Tyler Hakes of Des Moines and Cydney Porter of Cedar Rapids; four brothers, John, Joe, Jerry and Jeff; four sisters, Judy, Janet, Jackie and Jennifer; and father- and mother-in-law, Carolyn and Eugene Porter.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul; her parents, three sisters and three brothers.
Jodi was born April 19, 1967, in Cedar Rapids, to Adelbert and Judith (nee Howard) Hakes. She loved spending her time with her family and her dogs, Wrigley, Dolly and Stanzi.
