JoAnne Petersen Albert, 83, of Cedar Rapids, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 14, 2018. There are no services scheduled. Teahen Funeral Home and Cremation Services are assisting the family.
JoAnne was born on June 12, 1934, in Cedar Rapids, daughter of Albert and Ruth Petersen. She graduated from Franklin High School and attended Coe College. She worked at Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. until her marriage to Carl Albert on Oct. 7, 1961. Carl preceded her in death in 2007.
JoAnne is survived by her beloved son, Jon.
A large amount of her time was spent at her church, Central Park Presbyterian (presently Echo Hill Presbyterian). She volunteered endlessly, and joyously sang in the choir.
