On April 25, 1953, Joanne was united in marriage to the late Virtus George Reiling in Toronto, Iowa. Joanne had several jobs over the years but she will be best remembered as working in Horstmann’s Grocery Store in Bennett and the working with her husband for many years in the Tipton Locker. Joanne attended Cedar Street Baptist Church in Tipton where she had shared the gift of voice on many occasions. Joanne loved to sing and act. She will be remembered as one of the cast members in the play, Shrek, when she was 88 years of age.
Joanne is survived by her daughters, Rhonda (Bob) Paul and Susan (Mark) Johnson, all of Tipton, and her grandchildren, Kalynn Troupe and her daughter, Willow Troupe. Joanne was preceded in death by her late husband, Virtus, her son, Mark, and her siblings, Clement ‘Bud’ Murphy, Richard Murphy, Laurabelle Brewer, Marilyn McCormick and Mary Lou Murphy. Her gentle humbleness and her genuine smile will certainly be missed.
