Joanne E. Claypool, 83, passed away February 17, 2024, at Bishop Drumm Retirement Center in Johnston, Iowa. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 23 at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
For the last ten years, Joanne lived in Urbandale, but was previously a resident of Marion. She enjoyed working as an analyst for Rockwell Collins in Cedar Rapids.
Joanne is survived by her children, Dianne (Perry) Cook and Gary (Dorothy) Claypool; six grandchildren, including J.R.(Chou) Cook and Jennifer Cook; 12 great-grandchildren, including Edward Cook; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Elaine Butters and two grandchildren.
