JoAnn Egger, 78, of Monticello, passed away on Friday, Feb. 16, 2018, at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Her memorial service will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 21, at 11 a.m. at Lahey & Dawson Funeral Service in Wyoming. A visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 20, at Lahey & Dawson Funeral Service in Wyoming. Burial will be held at Oakwood Cemetery in Monticello.
JoAnn was born on Feb. 14, 1940, in Iowa to Donald and Evelyn (Supple) Lewis. She attended Sacred Heart Catholic School in Monticello. On Jan. 14, 1956, she was united in marriage to Roland Egger. She was the owner and operator of Sears in Manchester, and also worked at Rockwell Collins. JoAnn was a member of the Manchester Bowling Group and enjoyed her flower garden. She loved family visits and watching birds, especially cardinals.
Those left to cherish her memories are her four children, Barbara Rastovski of Lansing, Mich., Jeanette (Michael) Muller of Maquoketa, Ron (Becky) Egger of Anaheim, Calif., and John (Babe) Egger of Olin; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a sister, Madonna (Steve) Koob of Monticello; and two brothers, Kenny Lewis and Terry (Linda) Lewis, both of Monticello.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three sisters, Peggy, Mary and Geri; and a brother, Maynard.
Memorials may be directed to Pulmonary Rehab in Anamosa or Jones Regional Palliative Care in JoAnn's honor.
