JoAnn Butler, 44, a resident of Marion, formerly of Davenport, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2016, at her residence.
JoAnn's family will greet friends from noon until 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 9, at Halligan McCabe DeVries Funeral Home, 614 N. Main St., downtown Davenport. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery.
JoAnn Michelle Butler was born May 17, 1972, in Davenport, the daughter of Olden and Ruthie (Crockrell) Butler. JoAnn had been a caretaker for many years.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to her family.
Survivors include her children: a daughter, Saterika (Derek) Mims, and a son, Eric Mayes Jr., both of Cedar Rapids; her granddaughters, Kymara Atwood-Mayes and Ariia Mims; her fiance, Arthur Chism of Marion; as well as numerous loving extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two grandchildren, Khylia and Kayleia, and two brothers, Jeremiah Reed and Sam Butler
