Joan Sanders, 90, of Cedar Rapids died Sunday, December 15, 2024, at Cottage Grove Place. There will be no services. Burial will be 11:00 AM, Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at Eben Israel Cemetery.
Joan was born Oct. 5, 1934 to David and Gladys (Fisher) Ward at Clarence, IA. She graduated from Springville High School. She married Harold Sanders on May 25, 1957.
Joan was preceded in death by her husband Harold in 1976; and brother Donald Ward.
Joan is survived by her children Mark (Jenny) of Albuquerque, NM, daughter Susan (Ivan) of Tucson, AZ and their two sons Diego and David, daughter Lisa of New York City, NY; and sister Mary Jean Beck of Cedar Rapids, IA.
Joan enjoyed nature and was an avid bird watcher. She also loved to play card games with her friends at Cottage Grove Place.
