Joan Marie (Sejba) Taylor, 74, of Pembroke Pines, Fla., died Thursday, Feb. 15, 2018, in Miramar, Fla. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 20, at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Visitation will be Monday, Feb. 19, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Joan was born March 16, 1943, in Cedar Rapids to Lumir John Sejba and Wilma Ruth Failla. She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in North Miami, Fla., for 37 years, and a member of the Bulletin Buddies. She was a Girl Scout leader for eight years, and retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 30 years of service from Feb. 20, 1973, to Feb. 28, 2003. She lived the remainder of her life surrounded by her loved ones in Pembroke Pines, Fla.
Joan is survived by two daughters, Lori Ann Farinas of Hollywood, Fla., and Ruth Elaine Marshall of Pembroke Pines, Fla.; two brothers, Richard John Sejba of Farmington, Minn., and Ronald Louis Sejba of Hollywood, Fla.; a granddaughter, Briana Elyse Farinas of Hollywood, Fla.; and life partner for 36 years, Robert Lee Mcdaniels, of Pembroke Pines, Fla.
