Joan D. Evans, 87, of Vinton, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2017, at St. Luke's Hospice Inpatient Unit in Cedar Rapids. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 3, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Vinton, with the Rev. Stephen K. Preus officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel, 212 E. Sixth St., Vinton. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Vinton. A memorial fund has been established.
