Jo Ann Olson Stewart, 78, longtime Coralville resident, died Tuesday, April 8, 2025.
At Jo Ann’s request no services are planned. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Johnson County Humane Society.
Jo Ann was born February 16, 1947 in Marshalltown, the daughter of Earl and Guinevere Bowers Olson. She graduated from Marshalltown High School and received degrees at Iowa State University in physical education and the University of Iowa in dental hygiene.
On January 19, 1974 Jo Ann married George Stewart in Marshalltown.
Jo Ann was involved in numerous local organizations. She especially loved her feline companions.
Jo Ann is survived by her brother, James “Steve” Olson (Madelyn) of Marion, Iowa; a niece, Sara Zahrt, a nephew, Jay (Brenda), and niece, Jenni (Steve) Stark; and six great-nieces and -nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, George.
