Jimmy Ray Striegel, 77, of Marion, died Friday, Oct. 16, 2015, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. No services are planned at this time. Iowa Cremation is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include a son, Gerald of Lewisville, Texas; three daughters, Tammy (Jeff) Schnieders of Cedar Rapids, Dionne Hallstead of New Hall and Daniell Striegel of Belle Plaine; four stepchildren, Potique, Anne, Jennifer and Tim; three brothers, Gene, Garth and Terry; one sister, Dronda; 15 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife and two brothers.
Jimmy was born March 20, 1938, in Iowa City, the son of Cyril and Mary Chaney Striegel. He married Janet Vaughn. She passed away in 1997.
Jimmy worked at VanDyke's for many years and most recently worked in maintenance at several Cedar Rapids apartment complexes.
