Jimmy Neal Winn of Marion, Iowa passed away December 24, 2023. Jim was born September 27, 1944 to Edward and Rose Winn of Carroll, IA. He graduated from Carroll High School in 1963.
Jim served in the Army and was in the Viet Nam War. In 2016 Jim went to Washington D.C. on a honor flight for Veterans, which he enjoyed!
Jim married Pam Plath in 1972 in which two children were born to this union, Christopher Neal and Melissa Renee. Jim lived most of his life in the Council Bluffs area. In 1998 Jim moved to Marion, Iowa. He worked at Pearson Education, Cedar Rapids, until his retirement.
Jim is survived by his two children, Christopher and Kit Winn and Melissa and Brad Rolfe and Melissa's two children Chloe and Tristan Jackson. Also surviving are five sisters, Arlene Anderson of Madrid, Iowa, Geraldine Whited and Georgia Schmickle of Marion, Iowa, and Corinne Gute of Burnet, Texas, Gloria Ries of Azle, Texas and many nieces and nephews. Also a special friend, Jo Williams of Marion.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Don, Marion (Windy), Glen and sisters Lois and Mary.
Services: New City Church, January 5th, 1 pm. Lunch to follow. Pastor Daniel Winn officiant.
