Jim Taylor, 59, passed away Tuesday, May 20, 2014, at his home in Anamosa.
The son of Wendell and Ruth (Davis) Taylor, Jim was born Dec. 21, 1954, in Iowa City. He graduated from Iowa City High School in 1973 and began a career in the machine and fabrication industry.
Jim enjoyed spending time outdoors, riding his motorcycle and visiting with friends and family.
His kind heart and easygoing nature will be missed by all who knew him.
Jim is survived by his daughter, Josi Taylor of California; three sisters, Kris Code of Swisher, Mary Stallings (and husband Jim) of California and Betty Bailey (and husband Tom) of Arizona; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Tom Taylor; sister, Pat Lenz; and by his partner, Linda Weinard.
Graveside funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday, May 23, at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Iowa City. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. Friday until service time at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service in Iowa City.
In lieu of flowers, me-morial donations may be made in Jim's memory to the Johnson County Humane Society.
