John Henry Plotz, 87, of Cedar Rapids, died Monday, Oct. 8, 2018, at Westridge Care Center. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, at St. Ludmila Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Czech National Cemetery with military rites. A vigil service will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 12, at Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling St. SW. Visitation will follow the vigil until 7 p.m. at Brosh Chapel. A full obituary will be in Thursday's paper.
