Jesse Leo Greer, 39, died Monday, Dec. 26, 2022, of an unexpected cardiac condition.
Please join us for a celebration of Jesse’s life on Friday, Dec. 30, 2022, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Deadwood Tavern in Iowa City. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Kami Greer c/o P.O. Box 167, Iowa City, IA 52244.
Jesse was born April 15, 1983, in Iowa City, the son of John “Steve” Greer and Kami Lenoch.
Jesse was employed at Dublin Underground. His wonderful off-color sense of humor was enjoyed by many. Jesse enjoyed time spent golfing, especially at Elk’s Club and building Lego sets. He loved movies and was a fan of the Chicago Bears, Chicago Cubs, the Hawkeyes, and Iowa City City High School Wrestling. Most important to Jesse was his family and his many, many, friends, and his darling Taber.
Jesse is survived by his mother, Kami, and his sister, Fallon (Matt) Stefani; his nieces, Sloan and Sydney; aunts and uncles, Kelli (Ed) Rinderspacher, Barry (Tammy) Lenoch, Sandi Thompson, Judy Greer and Sarah Bush; and his many friends.
Jesse was preceded in death by his father, Steve; grandparents, Leo and Pat “Baba” Lenoch and Mary Greer; and uncles, Steve Lenoch and Mike Greer.
