Jesina, Milvoy Louis
Milvoy Louis Jesina, 92, of Cedar Rapids, died Saturday, Aug. 4, 2012, at St. Luke's Hospital following a short illness. Graveside services with Military Rites will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 7, at National Cemetery, Vining, by the Rev. Charles Johnson. There will be no visitation.
Milvoy was born Jan. 7, 1920, to Louis and Libbie Dvorak Jesina. During World War II he served in the Army in the European-African-Middle Eastern Theater. After the service he worked at Cedar Rapids Transfer and Storage for over 30 years. He loved to fish and boat, and spend time at his cabin in Minnesota for 34 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Leo; sister-in-law, Wilma Jesina; and niece, Judy Jesina.
He is survived by his sister, Mildred Machan of California; nieces and nephews, Richard and Connie Jesina of Wellington, Kan., Linda Jesina and Michelle and Jim Rose of Cedar Rapids, Bill and Luey of Marshalltown, Roxanne Jesina and Pat Vagle, and Tim and Deb Jesina of North Liberty, Sherry and John D'Attalie of California; and many great-nieces and nephews.
