Jerry Williams, 81, passed away on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at Promise House, Hiawatha. No services are planned.
Survivors include his children, Jill Kreitman, Teresa (Tim) Sackett and James (Mickie) Williams; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; siblings, Carolyn Williams-White, Bill Williams and Judy Bemer; and many loving family members.
Jerry was born April 8, 1942, to Charles and Anna (Badger) Williams. He worked as a mechanic for Linn Co-Op. Jerry also volunteered for WRAP Iowa where he built wheelchair ramps for houses. He enjoyed fishing in Canada, deer hunting, and going to the Rockwell Recreation Center for coffee and a workout every morning.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lynda; grandson, Dillan Sackett; parents; and siblings, Chuck Williams, Francis Williams, Larry Williams, Pam Williams and Dennis Williams.
The family extends a thank-you to Promise House for the wonderful care for Jerry.
