Jerry J. Sankot, 64, of New Brighton, Minn., passed away March 14, 2015.
Born Sept. 17, 1950, in Belle Plaine, Iowa, he was the son of Frank and Eleanor Sankot.
Surviving are his loving wife of 44 years, Janice; daughter, Jennifer (Jon) Harrington; siblings, Patricia (Roger) Pacanowski, Margret, Tom (Kathy), Jim (Judy) and Bill; other family and dear friends.
Jerry earned his bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Iowa State University, as well as associate degrees in clock repair and watch repair. He was a licensed professional engineer and a member of the ASQC/ASQ, Minnesota Clockmakers Guild and Minnesota NAWCC-OT Lang Chapter. He last worked for Ecowater in Woodbury, Minn. Jerry also was a member of the MSUS Church community.
He had struggled with his health since his 2003 diagnosis of multiple brain tumors.
Services will be later this year.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the American Cancer Society or a charity of the donor's choice.
Jerry's family extends their gratitude to his family and friends, the staff at Johanna Shores, the University of Minnesota-Fairview Hospitals, Clinics, & Hospice, and North Suburban Family Physicians-Roseville.
