Jerry Frank Atwood, 92, of Cedar Rapids, passed away on May 1, 2023. Visitation: 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 10, at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Memorial service: 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 10, at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Inurnment: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Jerry was born on Aug. 12, 1930, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Lester and Emmaa (Miller) Atwood. He was united in marriage to Margaret Ann Smrha on Feb. 12, 1966, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Jerry enjoyed fishing and working in his yard and garden. He also liked woodworking and making crafts.
Survivors include his son, Michael Atwood of North Carolina; daughter, Carol Dunham of Georgia; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Maggie; daughter, Judy Reedy; grandson, Jay Allen Atwood; and brother, Pat Atwood.
