Jerome, Judith Ann 'Judy'

CENTRAL CITY - Judith Ann “Judy” Jerome, 69, of Central City, formerly of Des Moines, passed away in her sleep on Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2010, with her loving husband, Don, at her side. Her life will be celebrated in a private family service at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion.

Survivors include her husband of 43 years, Donald; sons, Jerry (Sylvia) Jerome of Walker and Thomas (Kristi) Jerome of Mechanicsville; six grandchildren, Melanie, Isaac, Emily, Seth, Brian and Alicia; 12 great-grandchildren, Olivia, Grace, Jack, George, Brandon, Tanner, Caspian, Zach, Asreal, Asianna, Amleah and Thomas; a brother, Bob Olson of Oregon; and a sister, Barbara Baker of Virginia.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Dick Olson.

Judy was born Feb. 11, 1941, in St. Louis, Mo., the daughter of Forrest and Mary (Hannah) Olson. Judy was united in marriage to Donald Jerome on June 10, 1967, in Ankeny, Iowa. She worked as a telephone operator in the Des Moines area and later at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids.
