Jeremie Paul "JP" Wilcox, 36, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Nov. 23, 2016, after battling a long illness. Funeral services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Casual dress is requested by the family. Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2, at the funeral home. Inurnment: Linwood Mausoleum, Cedar Rapids.
Jeremie is survived by his mother, Rebecca Underwood of Reedsburg, Wis.; father, Marty (Linda) Wilcox of Cedar Rapids; significant other, Anna Walker, along with their children, Ty, Bella and Zayden Wilcox, all of Cedar Rapids; siblings, Jeffrey (Ali) Wilcox of LaValle, Wis., Jessica (Sheldon) Maly of Reedsburg, Wis., and Jacquelyn (Greg) Young of Lossiemouth, Scotland; maternal grandfather, Paul Underwood of Cedar Rapids; paternal grandparents, Myron and Audrey Wilcox of Cedar Rapids; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Barbara Underwood; maternal great-grandparents, Gertrude and Ralph Underwood; paternal great-grandparents, Arthur and Bessie Wilcox; cousins, Josh Wilcox and Dakota Kelly, and other cousins.
Jeremie was born March 26, 1980, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Marty Wilcox and Rebecca Underwood. He loved spending time with his kids and his family. Jeremie enjoyed the outdoors, and he liked to help others. He also enjoyed spending time landscaping with his Grandma Wilcox. Jeremie was an active member of the Corridor Crawlers.
