Jereme Donald Gerard, 37, of Marion, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, Aug. 3, 2015, at his home. Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 7, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Family will greet friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial: 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 8, Assumption Cemetery, Wheaton, Ill.
Survivors include his father, Mel (Becky) Gerard of Cedar Rapids; brothers, Jeff (Jenny) Gerard of Naperville, Ill., and Jason (Sara) Gerard of Aurora, Ill.; nieces, Annie and Delaney; nephew, Isaac; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother,
Linda Gerard.
Jereme was born on Nov. 2, 1977, in Rockford, Ill., the son of Melvin and Linda (McEnany) Gerard. He graduated from Naperville North High School in Illinois. Jereme worked at Fresh Market as a baker. He loved the outdoors, fishing and animals. Jereme was gentle and loving and had a great sense of humor.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fur Fun Animal Rescue or the Humane Society.
