Jensen, Shirley E.
Shirley E. Jensen, 81, of Independence, died Wednesday evening, Oct. 5, 2011, at West Village Care Center, Independence. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 10, at St. John's Catholic Church, Independence, with the Rev. Don Plamondon officiating. Burial will be at St. John's Catholic Cemetery, Independence. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Reiff Funeral Home & Crematory, Independence, where a rosary will be recited at 3 p.m. and a parish vigil service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Sunday.
She is survived by her husband;, Paul Jensen, Independence; four children, Jerry (Barb) Jensen, Nebraska City, Neb., Jim (Cyndi) Jensen, Independence, Jeff (Kathryn) Jensen, Independence, and Diane (Jim) Dudley, Independence; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; five sisters, Dorothy Gannon, Ankeny, Darlene Schrader, Madison, Wis., Janet Kleitsch, Cedar Rapids, Mary Lou Adams, Ankeny, and Phyllis Osterhaus, Ankeny; and a brother, John Kleitsch, Ames.
