Jenny Lynn Jellison, 57,
of Palo, lost her fight with kidney failure on Monday, Nov. 5, 2018, at UnityPoint Health-St. Luke's Hospital. Services: 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, at Palo United Methodist Church by the Rev. John Howerton. Burial: Palo Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Teahen Funeral Home and after 10 a.m. Saturday at the church.
Jenny is survived by her husband, Delmar; her siblings, Don (Ginger) Herr Jr. of Wichita, Kan., Marge (Patrick) Reddick of New Berlin, Ill., Cindy (Richard) Keller of Watkins and Bob (Kim) Herr of Palo; many nieces and nephews; her dog, Lucky; and cat, Garfield.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Don and Mary; and her in-laws, Larry and Clara Jellison.
Jenny was born Feb. 19, 1961, in Wichita, Kan. the daughter of Donald and Mary Herr Sr. She graduated in 1979 from Kennedy High School. On July 21, 1979, she married Delmar Jellison in Cedar Rapids. Jenny had been a clerk for the city of Palo, and worked for many years at Linn Photo. She was a former member and EMT on the Palo Fire Department, a member of Palo United Methodist Church and the Pyrotechnic Guild International.
Jenny was an avid photographer, fireworks operator and enjoyed collecting lighthouses. Jenny and Delmar loved travelling to PGI conventions all over the United States for over 30 years. She loved spending time with her family, and will be missed by all who knew her.
