Jennifer Klaren, 53, died Sunday, March 28, 2021, at her home following an extended illness. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 31, at Oakwood Cemetery. The Rev. Edwin Moreano will officiate at the services. Goettsch Funeral Home, Monticello, has taken Jenny and her family into their care. Social distancing standards need to be strictly observed at the cemetery. Surviving is her husband, David; her son, Josh; two granddaughters, Myah and NoElla; and three sisters, Carolyn Dirks, Diane Adams and Linda (Bob) Kirkwood.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Jennifer Sue Redmond was born Aug. 10, 1967, at John McDonald Hospital, Monticello, Iowa. She was the daughter of George and Betty Eiben Redmond. She graduated from Monticello Community Schools with the Class of 1983. Jennifer married David Klaren at Sacred Heart Church, Monticello, in 1995. Jenny worked as a CNA at Monticello Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and at Shady Rest Care Center in Cascade.
Jenny loved spending time with her granddaughters and going for coffee at Darrell's in the morning.
