Jennifer Sue Coleman, 51, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2014, at her home following
a brief illness. Memorial Gathering will be Saturday, Oct. 25, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 1 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery in the Chapel Garden section.
Jennifer Sue Coleman was born June 6, 1963, the daughter of Adelbert and Judith (Howard) Hakes. She owned and operated Jenn's Day Care for the last 10 years.
Jennifer enjoyed scrapbooking, baking (she was famous for cheesy potatoes), collecting owl figurines, genealogy, and especially spending time with her family.
She will always be remembered for being a loving and wonderful mother, sister and friend.
She is survived by her children, Amanda Coleman and Travis Coleman; four brothers, John, Joe, Jerry and Jeff; three sisters, Judy, Janet and Jackie; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Jennifer was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters and three brothers.
