Jennie Seeck, 65, of Keystone, passed away at home on Saturday, April 8, 2023, following a courageous battle with COPD, and a broken heart.
A celebration of Jennie’s life will be held beginning at 5 p.m. on Thursday, April 13, 2023, at the Keystone Turner Hall with Chaplain Justin Bierschenk officiating. Visitation will continue following the service until 8 p.m. Private family interment will be held at the Keystone Cemetery.
Jennie was born on Nov. 29, 1957, the daughter of Florian and Mary (Severe) Dvorak. Jennie graduated from Benton Community High School with the Class of 1976. On Nov. 5, 1977, she was united in marriage to Dale Seeck at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Newhall. Jennie worked as a secretary in the agriculture and insurance industry for many years. She was known for her bubbly personality and always-present grin. She was a devoted Iowa Hawkeyes fan and enjoyed watching sports of all kinds. Jennie loved to entertain her friends and family at the farm and was a wonderful cook. She also loved camping and trail riding, as well as a good pepper game. Jennie had a fondness for mules as well as her cat Izzy, both of which contributed to her own stubbornness, but always in a loving way!
She is survived by her loving husband, Dale; children, Derrick Seeck of Keystone, Dana (Lonnie) Schoenmann of Keystone and Dwayne (Devan) Seeck of Guthrie Center; her seven grandchildren, Avery King, Delaney Seeck, Larissa Schoenmann, Brynnlee, Hudson, Corden, and Bristol Seeck; two brothers, Roger (Gayla) Dvorak of Cedar Rapids and Dean (Ellen) Dvorak of Arizona; one sister, Diane Angle of California; and two sisters-in-law, Sheila Dvorak of Cedar Rapids and Vicki Dvorak of Mississippi.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her grandson, Lee Schoenmann; two brothers, Ed and Jim Dvorak; and her brother-in-law, Dave Seeck.
