Jennie Miller, 76, passed away at the Winslow House Care Center in Marion, Iowa, on Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2023.
A visitation will be held at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories on Sunday, Jan. 15, from 2 p.m. until service time at 4 p.m., with Pastor Sherrie Ilg officiating. A private interment will be held at the Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery-Garden of the Last Supper.
Jennie was born on Feb. 28, 1946, in Rock Valley, Iowa. She was the daughter of the late John and Carrie (Mittendorf) Vandentop. On May 12, 1969, Jennie married the love of her life, Allen Miller in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She loved sewing, cooking and spending time with her family and friends.
Those left to cherish Jennie’s memory are her children, William Miller of Fort Madison, Iowa, Gilbert Miller of Cedar Rapids, Carrie (Michael Wilson) Miller of Cedar Rapids and Johann Miller of Cedar Rapids; her grandchildren, Nathan, Izzabella, Terrance, Samantha and Juliet; and her brother, Gilbert (Norma) Vandentop, of Rock Valley, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and her siblings.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
The family would like to thank the entire staff at Winslow House for the love and support they showed Jennie while she was in their care.
