Jellison, Lee Warren Jr.
Lee Warren Jellison, Jr., 47, passed away on Friday, Aug. 23, 2013. He was born on Dec. 12, 1965, at Community Memorial Hospitals in Toms River, N.J., the son of Lee and Carol (Boots) Jellison, Sr. Lee was united in marriage to Peggy Rave on Sept. 29, 1984, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Farley.
Lee was a devoted military service member. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1984 and did two sea tours to Saudi Arabia and Kuwait while serving on the final cruises of the USS Ranger and the USS Saratoga. Lee served over 11 years in the U.S. Navy before he enlisted in the Iowa Army National Guard in 2002. In 2008 he was deployed with Bravo Company 248th Aviation Support Battalion in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. After many achievements and seeing the world during his military service time, he recently retired his Cav hat from military service in 2011. While serving in the National Guard, Lee was also employed as a Senior Quality Engineer at Rockwell Collins in Cedar Rapids. After retiring from the National Guard, Lee and his family followed their dream of being hobby farmers outside of Clarence, Iowa.
Lee will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Peggy (Rave) Jellison; his children, Ryan of Manchester, Kelly of Goldsboro, N.C., Bo of Cedar Rapids, and Kylie (Garett) Long of Killeen, Texas; an adoring granddaughter, Lexi; his parents, Lee Jellison, Sr. and Carol Jellison of Manchester; one sister, Lori (Doug) Henkel of Delhi; his mother-in-law, Shirley Rave of Epworth; many nieces and nephews; and his military family.
Lee was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Gilbert Rave; and high school best friend, Jeff Lammers.

Graveside service: 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2013, at Oakland Cemetery, Manchester, Iowa.
Visitation: 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2013, at Leonard-Muller Funeral Home in Manchester, Iowa, and also 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Interment with military rites: Oakland Cemetery, Manchester, Iowa.
