Jekabs Andrejs Lielkoks, 87, passed away on October 27, 2024 in Grand Junction, CO. Funeral services will be held at 11:00, Friday, November 8 at Washburn-McReavy Crystal Lake Cemetery in Minneapolis, MN.
Jekabs was born on November 30, 1936 in Bauska, Latvia. After spending four years in displaced persons camps following World War II, he and his family emigrated to Hopkins, MN. Jekabs married Velta Bumbiers on July 8,1961 in Minneapolis, MN. They settled in Marion, IA. Jekabs worked as a test technician at Collins for over 30 years. He loved family gatherings, wood working and gardening.
Jekabs is survived by three children, Ingrid Dreimann, Ted (Susan) Lielkoks and Kristine Marks, and six grandchildren, Erin, Andrea, Finja, Sydney, Sage and Anika. He was preceded in death by his wife Velta and grandson Morgan.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed in Jekabs’ memory to Hope West Hospice, Grand Junction, CO.
