Jeffrey M. Salsberry, 55, of Davenport, passed away Wednesday, May 31, 2017, at Genesis Medical Center- East Campus, Davenport. A celebration of life will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday, June 10, at Buffalo Community Center. Cunnick-Collins Mortuary and Cremation Service in Davenport is assisting the family with arrangements.
Jeffrey Michael Salsberry was born Aug. 21, 1961, in Davenport, the son of Andrew and Patricia (Vaughn) Salsberry. He graduated from Davenport West High School and continued his education at Hamilton Technical School, where he earned a bachelor's degree in electronics. Jeff worked as a salesman at a local bookstore and at the former Mona's Big and Tall Store. He also worked as a truck driver and driver trainer at CRST.
In his spare time, he loved to cook and entertain for family and friends. Jeff was known for his quick, dry wit and his mastery of crossword puzzles.
He is survived by his mother, Patricia Salsberry of Bettendorf; sisters, Joy (Tom) Irons of Blue Grass, Darci (Donald Lambert) Daniel of Keokuk and Amy Salsberry of Bettendorf; brothers, Bob (Kitty) Salsberry of Cedar Rapids and Don (Deb) Salsberry of Davenport; his dog, Rocky; numerous nieces and nephews; and even more great-nieces and great-nephews. Jeff had a lot of great family and friends who are left to honor his memory.
In addition to his grandparents, he was preceded in death by his father, Andrew; his beloved dog, Drew; a nephew, James Ramsay; and good friend, Brandon McCullough.
