JEFFREY LOEHR
West Branch
Jeffrey Loehr, 57, of West Branch, died Friday, Sept. 15, 2017. Memorial service: 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 19, at Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Mount Vernon. Visitation: 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Survivors include his daughters, Susan and Kim Loehr; grandson, Caiden Loehr; mother, Dorothy Loehr; siblings, Roger (Jolene), Debra (Thom) Applebee, Dan, John (Nanita), Judy (Fernando) Pavia, Ed (Leanne) and Julie (Ray) Osten; and many nieces and nephews.
Jeffrey Joseph Loehr was born Aug. 29, 1960, in Anamosa, to Allen and Dorothy (Mysak) Loehr. He graduated from Lisbon High School in 1980 and served in the Army for four years, then the Iowa National Guard for 16 years. Jeff most recently worked for International Automotive Components in Iowa City. He enjoyed camping, fishing and hunting, anything outdoors. Jeff especially loved spending time with his family, especially grandson, Caiden, and nephew, Connor. Though he looked like a grizzly bear, he was really a teddy bear. He was always teasing the kids and making everybody laugh.
Jeff was preceded in death by his father, Allen; and brothers, Ronald and Theodore Loehr.
A memorial fund has been established in Jeff's name.
