Jeffrey James Grannan, 59, of Robins, passed away Sunday, Jan. 14, 2018, at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids. The family will greet friends from 11 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Jan. 17, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Marion. Funeral service will begin at noon Wednesday at the funeral home. Jeff will be laid to rest at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids, during a private family service.
Jeffrey was born July 25, 1958, in Vincennes, Ind., the son of James R. and Ann (Mann) Grannan. He graduated from Marion High School in 1976 and attended Iowa State University. Jeff played football for Marion High School and the Iowa State Cyclones. He was a member of the Catholic faith. Jeff was an avid Iowa State Cyclone fan. He was hardworking and had a big heart. He would do anything for anyone.
Jeff is survived by his mother, Ann Grannan of Marion; daughter, Kristin (Bill) Uknes of Clive; sisters, DeLaine Ward of Austin, Texas, Liz (Dane) Zuercher of Marshalltown and Amy (Curt) Bean of Marion; and many loving nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, James R. Grannan.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Jeff's memory.
