Jeffery Glackin
JEFFERY A. GLACKIN Marion Jeffery A. Glackin, 57, of Marion, Iowa, formerly of Lisbon, Iowa, died Monday, Nov. 12, 2018. A graveside service and burial will be held at Lisbon Cemetery in Lisbon on Thursday, Dec. 6, at 2 p.m. Jeff will be buried with military honors. A celebration of life will be held at 700 35th St. in Marion following the burial service. Jeff is survived by his brothers, Kenneth Glackin, Brad Glackin and Russell Glackin; sisters, Suzanne Meyer, Jonilee Fransen, LeeAnne Glackin and Deborah Colwell; aunt, Joan Green of Long Beach, Calif.; uncle, Larry Welch of Winterhaven, Fla.; stepfather, John Weaver of Marion; and several nieces and nephews. Jeff was preceded by his parents, John Glackin and Judith Weaver. Jeff was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and graduated from Lisbon High School, where he lettered in multiple sports. After graduation, Jeff enlisted in the U.S. Army. He served for a total of 15 years. While on active duty, he served in Crete and Germany, among other locations. He was a beloved son, brother, nephew and uncle. He will be missed greatly.
