Jefferies, Angeline C.
Angeline C. Jefferies, 94, of Cedar Rapids, died Tuesday, May 1, 2012, at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids. Funeral Mass: 10 a.m. Monday, May 7, at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, by the Rev. Christopher Podhajsky. Visitation: from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids, with a rosary at 6 p.m. Burial: Mount Calvary Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her sisters, Mary Ellen Agerone of Cedar Rapids and Dorothy Galliano of Chicago; brother, George Jefferies of Chicago; special nephew, Tony Agerone; and many nieces and nephews.
Angeline was born June 10, 1917, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of George and Mary (Catanzaro) Jefferies. She worked for 50 years as a machinist at Square D.
Angeline was a long time member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church and the American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed ceramics, cooking and baking, and most of all taking care of her family and friends.
She will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, August “Bud,” Joey and George Jefferies; sisters, Doris Spinnato and Rose Meyer; and uncles, Marty and Anthony Catanzaro.
