Jefferie L. Linvell was born February 3, 1966, at Mercy Hospital in Cedar Rapids, the son of John L. and Marjorie (Lindsey) Linvell. Jefferie enlisted in the United States Army and served from 1983 until 1986. Jefferie retired from Local 89 Ironworkers in 1997. Jefferie enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting, spending time with family, playing with his grandson, Johnnie, and spending time with his dogs, Eva and Molly. Jefferie passed away Saturday, March 29, 2025, at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics at the age of 59 years old.
He is survived by his mom Marjorie (Chuck) Spicka; son Steven (JoAnn) Linvell; daughter Vik (Juneau) Geck; grandson Johnnie; two brothers Jason (Jessica-Leigh) Linvell and Denver Linvell; a sister Jenny Fuller; a sister-in-law Kris Linvell; a grand pup Diesel and grand cat Tiger Lilly; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his dad, brother John Linvell, sister Karla Spicka and his grandma Clara.
A Celebration of Life Memorial visitation will be held Saturday, April 5, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., at Powell Funeral Home in Marengo. A general memorial fund has been established.
