Jeff York Schneidermann was born July 12, 1967, in Cedar Rapids, to Edwin and Maria (VanHal) Schneidermann. He graduated from Marion High School in 1986, then attended the University of Iowa, where he received his bachelor's degree in business with a minor in economics in 1995. Most recently, Jeff worked in industrial sales at Gates Corp. He married Tanya Buck on Nov. 2, 1996, in Des Moines.
Jeff's family was the love of his life, and he thoroughly supported and attended his children's music, sports and theater events. He enjoyed watching sports, especially football and basketball. Jeff was a very social person, always gathering friends for drinks, karaoke, biking and bonfires. He enjoyed planning family vacations and "road tripping" to destinations all over the country. Recently, he was even able to convince Tanya to take time away from the kids for a getaway to Mexico.
Jeff was cherished by his family and friends, and will be missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ed, in 2006; and several aunts and uncles.
Memorials may be directed to Jeff's family for his children's college funds.
