Jedlicka, Robert 'Bobby' Francis
Robert “Bobby” Francis Jedlicka, 58, of Tipton, died Saturday, Nov. 21, 2009, AT Mercy Hospice Unit of Mercy Iowa City. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Tipton, with the Rev. David Hitch officiating. Burial to follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Fry Funeral Home in Tipton, where the rosary will be held at 7 p.m.
Robert, son of Richard Francis and Betty Louise Larson Jedlicka, was born March 10, 1951, in Iowa City, Iowa. He was a 1969 graduate of Tipton High School and graduated from Kirkwood Community College with a degree in design engineering. On Dec. 18, 1971, Robert was united in marriage to Kathy Chapman, and on June 20, 1980, he was united in marriage to Mary Kathryn Moravek in Cedar County. Robert was a draftsman for CDI Corporation and enjoyed playing the drums. He served his country from 1971-1977 in the National Guard, was a member of Knights of Columbus and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Tipton.
Bobby is survived by his two sons, Ryan C. Jedlicka of Lowden and Richard D. “Rick” Jedlicka of Tipton; his parents, Richard and Betty Lou Jedlicka of Tipton; his sister, Mary Lou Lange of North Liberty; his brothers, Gary Jedlicka, Dale (Marcie) Jedlicka and Dean (Sara) Jedlicka, all of Tipton; special friend, Lorraine Foster of Waukee; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
