Jeanne (Wegmann) Cox, 96, of Manchester, passed away peacefully at her daughter’s home in Manchester on April 6, 2024 with her family at her side.
Services will be April 27, 2024 at 11 AM at St. Mary Church in Manchester. Visitation will be held from 9 AM until 10:45 AM at the church. A private inurnment will be held at a later date.
Jeanne was born to Ludwig and Patranella (Tauke) Wegmann on August 4, 1927 in Dyersville, Iowa. She married Francis Cox on January 10, 1950. They had 3 children, Elizabeth (Jeff) Lines of St.
Charles, MO; Susan (Clark) Tyrrell of Manchester; and Mark (Jane) Cox of Vincennes, IN. She enjoyed 9 grand-
children: Adam (Brittany) Tyrrell of Marshalltown; Keith (Stacey) Welsh of Dubuque; Jessica Jeanne (Dave) Jaffe of Prescott, AZ; Erin (Brian) Merry of St. Charles, MO; Nichole (and friend, Brad) Hatfield of Owensboro, KY; Breeze (Terry) Johnson of Vincennes, IN; Casey (Adam) Mattingly of Utica, KY; Laura Schulze of Bloomington, IN; and Brandon (Jessica) Lines of Cheyenne, WY; and 12 great-grandchildren: Faith, Reece, William, Julianna, Colin, Devin, Ashtyne, Cade, Shelby, Jake, Vance, and Luke.
Surviving her are two dear sisters, Janice Russ of Manchester and Carol Bean of Cedar Rapids; and three sisters-in-law, Lois Culbertson of Dubuque; Judi Fudi of Beaufort, SC; and Pat Wegmann of Austin, TX.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Francis; her parents; three brothers; one sister; eight brothers-in-law and five sisters-in-law.
The family abundantly thanks her loving and extraordinary Above and Beyond Hospice team and her faithful “Coffee Ladies.” You have been a blessing from God!!
