Jeanne Ellen Kopp Deppe, 63, of 303 E. Main St., Wyoming, passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2015, at Mercy Medical Center in New Hampton. Services for Jeanne will be 2 p.m. Sunday, March 8, at Lahey
Funeral Home in Wyoming. Friends may visit from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. service time Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date in Mount Hope Cemetery, Maquoketa.
Jeanne Ellen Scherf was born July 12, 1951, in Waukesha, Wis., daughter of Robert and Joy Eyvonne Wilcox Kohls. She was a graduate of Maquoketa High School and Clinton Community College, receiving an A.A. in nursing.
Jeanne was an emergency room nurse in New Hampton and also a travel nurse.
Jeanne loved to redecorate and design jewelry, showing her work at craft shows with Cherokee Rose Designs.
She was an animal lover and bird watcher, loved horses and the Chicago Cubs. Jeanne was a big coffee drinker, and always wanted a lot of creamer.
Most of all she loved to spend time with her family.
She is survived by her sons, John Joseph "J.J." Kopp (Michelle) of Grand Mound, James Christopher Kopp (Heather) of Wyoming, Jacob Matthew Kopp (Lindsay) of Cedar Rapids and Joshua Robert Kopp (Bobbi Jo) of Des Moines; eight grandchildren; friend and companion, Paul Meeker; sister, Bobbi (Dave) Schrader of Diamond Springs, Calif.; and two dogs, Mack and Gracie.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Robbie; and two dogs, Barney and Cody.
