Funeral services for Jeanne Carey, 86, of Urbandale, who passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2014, will be held 11 a.m. Monday, May 5, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Cedar Rapids. Burial will follow at Cedar Memorial Park
Cemetery in Cedar Rapids. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, May 4, at Caldwell Raddatz Funeral Home and Crematory in Urbandale.
Her life revolved around her grandchildren.
Jeanne is survived by her husband, Al; children, Sheila Rae Koss, Michael and Robert (Shelly) Carey, Crystal (Frank) Miller and Debra Reed; grandchildren, Julie (Kyle) Bye, Kara (Ryan) Krueger and Jennifer (Chris) Sobolewski; and great-grandchildren, Colton and Cyle Cihla, Cameron Althoff, Nolan and Sophie Krueger and Jordan Sobolewski.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Harold "Lloyd" Tharp; daughter, Kathleen Lynn Mershon; three brothers and five sisters.
