Jeanette L. Wilford, 79, of Benton, WI, formerly of Cedar Rapids, IA, passed away on Sunday, April 13, 2025 at Oak Park Place in Dubuque, IA. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 21 at the Haudenshield Funeral Home & Crematory in Cuba City, WI, with Rev. Bill Vasey officiating. The doors will be open prior to funeral services from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Private burial will be in the Murdoch-Linwood Cemetery in Cedar Rapids, IA. The Haudenshield Funeral Home & Crematory in Cuba City, WI is serving the family.
Jeanette was born on May 12, 1945 to Charles & Iva (Winters) White in Hazel Green, WI. She married the love of her life, Carl B. Wilford on October 15, 1986 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, IA. She had several jobs through the years and excelled at all of them. Jeanette dedicated her time to a lot of charity works, such as AMVETS, serving American veterans, and volunteer work at a children's hospital in Cedar Rapids, IA. She was a member of the Benton Primitive Methodist Red Church in Benton, WI. Jeanette enjoyed giving gifts, 50's music, fishing with Carl, babies, especially her nieces and nephews, but most of all, she enjoyed time spent with her family and friends. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her.
Jeanette is survived by 2 siblings: Jim (Sue) White of Bagley, WI and Leah Richards of Phoenix, AZ, along with many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Carl (Nov. 4, 2004), a sister, Elizabeth (Preston) Woods, a brother, Peter (Mary Alice) White and a special aunt, Lucille Higgins.
In lieu of plants and flowers, a Jeanette L. Wilford Memorial Fund has been established.
